Don’t have to pinch those for a tight fit. On all my caps and ball revolvers, these go on tight and stay put without any fooling around. Much better than CCI #11 that I have to pinch to get tight. The CCI#10 is to small to even get on.

The shortage of shooting supplies back then is nothing compared to what we are dealing with now. Keep your power dry. Keeps making supplies available for your all time shoppers.

I bought caps here from this store and some primers all mix. Took about a week to get it. One thing…..well more than one thing, I found that sometimes the cap would split or have a small Crack in it after I punched it out. These are worthless and should be discarded before you apply your compound. I didn’t do this on my first attempt and found only 2 of five caps would ignite. Also the compound itself would easily fall out of the homemade cap if the cap were dropped! There is a learning curve to this process. There must be someway to get the compound to stay in the cap. Some of the caps would ignite the charge in the cylinder and some of them would pop but wouldn’t ignite the charge and some of them wouldn’t pop at all! I made up about 75 caps from the cap maker but after my first attempt and failure of detonation, I went through those caps and discarded the cracked ones. Some of the caps form unevenly. One side higher than the other. I use slixshot nipples also. I found that sometimes the cap is very difficult to put it on the nipples. I also was a little light in pressing the mixture into the cap. I was a little concerned that the pressure might set the cap off since I am using acetone and it evaporates very quickly! 5 minutes and the compound appears very dry! This is another thing I feel needs to be addressed.

Nice to know this CCI PERCUSSION CAPS #11 works very well. Could you mix the blended powder with acetone and then inject that into the cups? I would think it would be easier. Being lazy by nature, I tend to look for whatever short cut I can find.
